Hello all!! Today was our LAST swim day :( this summer has gone so fast!
REMINDER! Tomorrow and Thursday we will be tie dying so please bring a white short and wear clothes that can get messy! Happy Thursday! Today was a fantastic day! Because we are learning about ice cream this week, we thought we should make some ourselves! Not only was it fun, it was easy to do and the kids loved eating their own ice cream treats! For those who would liken to give it a try at home, here is how you make it! In a large bag put 3cups of ice and sprinkle about 6TSP of salt (we used ice cream salt) In a small bag put 1/2 cup of whole milk (today we use half and half), 2TBSP of sugar, and just a bit of vanilla. Put the small bag in the large bag and SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE! 
Hello all! This week has really flown by already! Tomorrow (Friday) is swim day! Don't forget your swim suit!! Today we had a blast learning about vacation to the beach! We talked about some of the things you might do or see on a trip to the beach, it was tons of fun!

Hello! Today was a fun filled day learning about camping... We got to have circle time around the campfire, told scary stories and even made s'mores (just pretend ones!) we had so much fun!! 
Happy Moday! We has so much fun biking, scootering and running outside today! It kept us super busy and active all morning, but it got pretty hot, so after about an hour we came inside to cool off and play some free centers! This week we are learning about camping, it was fun to talk about all the things you need to go on a camping trip, some of us even colored pictures of a hiker during center time!! 
Holy cow it is already the middle of July. This summer has gone by so fast. This week we are talking all about construction. We also got a very special treat for Sam's birthday. We all got a little messy. Our friends have loved playing at all the different construction centers, especially our wall castle and pretend construction zone. Hope everybody is having a great summer so far!!      Happy 4th of July everyone. Just wanted to remind you that Creation Kids will be closed tomorrow. Also we will we at the North Liberty site on Friday. They are having bike day that day so feel free to bring your child's bike again. This summer has gone so fast already, I can't believe it is already July and that it is about time to celebrate the 4th! Just a reminder to all parents that the center will be closed on Thursday, July 4th for Independence Day! We had a really great day at swim day, although not everyone got too wet (it was a bit breezy!) we had so much fun running around and playing with our friends, we even had a few friends who had a BLAST playing in the water anyway!! I will be going out of town this upcoming Wednesday, July 3rd, and will not return until Monday, July 22, Ms. Kati will be filling in for me while I am away, so make sure to keep checking the blog and if you have any questions you can reach her in the classroom or e-mail her at [email protected]. |
